Indian Almond Leaves (IAL)
Indian Almond Leaves (IAL), also known as Catappa Leaves, are from the Terminalia Catappa tree. These leaves are very popular amongst fish and shrimp keepers due to their natural medicinal, tannin and water conditioning properties.
Indian Almond Leaves (IAL) assist by:
- Combatting bacterial infections
- Promoting growth of beneficial bacteria
- Reducing stress by mimicking natural habitats
- Reducing pH levels
- Releasing natural tannins
Indian Almond Leaves (IAL) are perfect for shrimp keepers because of the above, especially when keeping Caridina Logemanni shrimp species that prefer a lower pH.
